Course Overview

As the demographics of our workforce change and the requirements placed on providers of goods and services moves to a 24/7 basis, traditional working practices are often no longer an option.

There is growing evidence that by incorporating work life balance into the ethos of our working practices and culture, the potential benefit to both organisations and individuals is enormous.

This one day training course is specifically aimed at those people in large and small organisations who need to review their current work life balance practices and to set in place a strategy and framework for the future.

What you will learn

At the end of this course delegates will be able to:

  • Define work life balance and understand its history and define its benefits
  • Understand the drivers surrounding work life balance and “jargon bust” to ensure an understanding of terms
  • Review current practices and set a strategy for the future
  • Benchmark their current practices and seek to develop wider options and choices for their organisation, teams and individuals
  • Project manage a work life balance initiative
Course Content

The Work Life balance training course covers the following topics:-

  • What does WLB mean for you (organisation .v. individual)
  • Facts on recruitment and retention
  • The facts on productivity and absenteeism
  • The business benefits
  • How to make a case for WLB
  • Common problems, recognising behaviours that sabotage balance
  • Reviewing useful case studies for ideas
  • The Work Life Balance model
  • Practical exercise – benchmark & strategy
  • Developing & implementing WLB policies
  • Practical exercise – your action plan

The Work Life Balance course is limited to a maximum of twelve delegates. Course costs cover the training workshop, a set of comprehensive course notes, lunch, refreshments and an attendance certificate.

This is a non-residential training course. This course can also be tailored to suit your needs, designed and delivered in your own organisation.
